The demolition wing of the LGBT diversity police is on full blast over the past two weeks, as two scenarios played out where someone either published an opinion or patronized an establishment that is forbidden by the more militant (and vocal) “you must accept me AND my lifestyle, but I refuse to tolerate you” within the LGBT community.
Make no mistake, the AND is in all caps for a reason. It’s not enough for someone to tolerate the LGBT community. If an individual doesn’t fully embrace AND endorse their life choices, they run the risk of becoming a target of the militant constituency of their demolition crew.
On Wednesday, June 6, Russell Berger had the audacity to tweet a personal note of encouragement for an Indianapolis CrossFit location (CrossFit Infiltrate) that chose to cancel a gay pride event. Unfortunately, if you visit his Twitter site, you’ll find the original tweet has been deleted. But, what appears to be an original may be found below, as posted on Morning Chalk Up.
Notice Mr. Berger’s inclusion of the hashtag #CrossFitInfiltrate. He was simply adding his voice to a controversy that was already brewing due to a negative publicity campaign started a few days earlier.
On June 2, @dan_20 posted the tweet below using the hashtag #CrossFitInfiltrate.

A full reading of the response from CrossFit Infiltrate owner Brandon Lowe reveals his politically correct attempt to put a positive spin on a very delicate situation. To fully understand the email @dan_20 posted, however, a little context is necessary.
According to Morning Chalk Up, on May 22 CrossFit Infiltrate General Manager Johnnie Martin decided to organize an Indy Pride event scheduled for June 7. Then, on May 1, Mr. Martin sent a follow-up email to all the CrossFit Infiltrate members announcing the Pride event cancellation.
The email posted by @dan_20 was a response from Brandon Lowe, the owner of CrossFit Infiltrate, to @dan_20’s (unpublished) concerns. The same day @dan_20 posted Brandon Lowe’s response (June 2), all the CrossFit Infiltrate coaches quit. By June 5, the owners of CrossFit Infiltrate closed their gym, as seen in the email below provided by Morning Chalk Up.
It was in response to these events that Russell Berger posted the tweet that ended his employment with CrossFit.
Surprisingly, the Washington Post offered a very even-handed article that allowed Russell Berger to fully explain his position, as seen below.
When asked to explain his comments, Berger said Thursday that he used the word “sin” because “that’s what God’s Word calls it.”
“As a Christian, I believe everyone, myself included, is guilty of breaking our moral obligations to God and deserves punishment,” he said in a text message to The Post. “But by turning from our sin and trusting fully in Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven and reconciled to our creator. I love those who the LGBTQ community represents, and want them to know Christ, and reveling in sin is a heartbreaking obstacle to that.
“I use the word ‘sin’ to describe pride events, and the sexual lifestyles associated with them, because that’s what God’s Word calls it, and I believe that God’s Word is true.”
But Berger added that “the same theology that leads me to this view leads me to the knowledge that all humans are created in God’s image, and are therefore inherently valuable and deserve to hear this offer of God’s grace. From the Christian perspective, the most hateful thing I could do for someone would be to lie to him or her about sin and our need for Christ, as unpopular as this may be in our culture today.” ~ The Washington Post
Unfortunately, the platform given by the Washington Post was too little too late. The damage was already done.
It’s understandable how someone in the LGBT community may be offended by the remarks of someone who thinks their lifestyle is sinful. But, their claims of harm due to the offense should not be allowed to be used as a weapon to destroy the offending party, except that their feelings have been granted special protections under the guise of civil rights.
If only the sentiments in the first part of Paul Wilson’s tweet below represented the entire LGBT community…
LGBTQ people think they have a right to exist while not bothering anybody else, @BergerRussell disagrees. So intolerant of them.

Russell Berger and CrossFit Infiltrate are merely two more casualties of the militant wing of the LGBT community’s activism, just as they tried to destroy Masterpiece Cakeshop.
When God is removed from the equation, there remains no moral anchor for society, resulting in a drift toward the inevitable submission to our base sinful nature and lustful desires.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. Romans 1:18-32 (ESV)
The second story reveals how quickly the LGBT diversity police can turn on someone who was a perceived ally.
On Saturday, June 9, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey posted the tweet below showing a discount he received at Chick-fil-A.
— jack (@jack) June 10, 2018
According to an article from The Daily Caller, the backlash from the militant wing of the LGBT community was almost immediate and caught the attention of former CNN personality Soledad O’Brien. See her tweet below followed by Jack Dorsey’s response.
You’re right. Completely forgot about their background
— jack (@jack) June 10, 2018
What Chick-fil-A background does he mean? Could it be the audacity of Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy to express his opinions about traditional marriage, or the failed attempt of the LGBT community to boycott Chick-fil-A. For the record, the boycott was delicious, both from a food perspective and the long lines wrapping around just about every Chick-fil-A in the nation.
It’s doubtful Mr. Dorsey is referring to Chick-fil-A’s response to the Pulse Nightclub massacre (a gay nightclub in Orlando) when they opened on a Sunday to provide emergency food for the selfless individuals donating blood for the victims. It’s also doubtful he’s referring to their $19 Million given via scholarships and community programs.
Instead of standing by his choice to eat a great-tasting chicken treat, Mr. Dorsey admitted he was either wrong to support Chick-fil-A financially by eating there or to promote them via his Boost discount tweet, or both. He didn’t elaborate.
The bottom line is evident. Individuality cannot be tolerated by the militant wing of the LGBT community. To them, it’s groupthink or else…
